Since our founding in 1962, Winterset, Iowa, the United Rodeo Association (URA), has proudly brought the excitement of rodeo to communities across the Midwest. From our early days to the present, we've remained committed to delivering quality family entertainment paired with championship-level competition in your local arenas.

At every URA event, you'll see dedicated cowboys and cowgirls showcasing their talents in thrilling events that honor and celebrate the Western lifestyle. These athletes give it their all—not just for glory, but to provide an unforgettable experience for fans of all ages.

Behind every successful rodeo is a hardworking local committee that brings the event to life. We deeply appreciate the tireless efforts of these teams and the support of the communities they serve.  Sanctioning 100 plus regional rodeos year round, primarily in the nine state area of Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Minnesota, Nebraska, Oklahoma, South Dakota, and Wisconsin.  The Finals for the season is held in the fall when we crown the champions in nine events.
